London-born actress Angelique Pretorius began her journey in South Africa, where she grew up ballet dancing, rock climbing and putting on theatre productions for her loved ones. At university she studied English Literature and trained in Shakespeare and other classical theatre genres. Her focus shifted from stage to screen, where she became a prominent actress in film and TV.

While renowned in South Africa, Pretorius is becoming recognised internationally, having performed opposite Jennifer Hudson in the biopic, Winnie Mandela, with a recurring part in the second season of the Starz series, Black Sails.

She also played the demanding lead role in Oscar-nominated director Darrel Roodt's Stilte. Her other credits include: HBO series Strike Back; acclaimed Canadian series Diamonds; South African hit comedy Stoute Boudjies; the award-winning SA drama series Kruispad and Hartland.

Angelique has received numerous accolades, ranging from acting awards to being voted into SA's 'FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World' list."
